Instructions

Note: please create read-only API keys, except where specifically noted in the instructions.

Aer normally uses Coinbase OAuth. That means you'll just need to log into your Coinbase normally. If you're on your work device where you've never logged into Coinbase before, please forward the email to your work device's email and authorize the device. You must click the email from your work device. Once you've logged in successfully, you'll be redirected to the Aer page.

However, if your firm does not allow OAuth, please follow the instructions here:
1. Log in to Coinbase.
2. Click the profile icon on the right side of the top menu (in the top right corner of the screen), and select "Settings" from the dropdown.
3. On the Settings page, click into the "API" tab.
4. On the API tab, click "+ New API Key" and go through authentication.
5. In the Accounts section, check "all".
6. In the Permissions section, check "wallet:accounts:read", "wallet:contacts:read", "wallet:deposits:read", "wallet:supported-assets:read", "wallet:trades:read", "wallet:user:read", "wallet:addresses:read", "wallet:buys:read", "wallet:checkouts:read", "wallet:notifications:read", "wallet:orders:read", "wallet:sells:read", "wallet:transactions:read", and "wallet:withdrawals:read". Do not check any other boxes.
7. Click "Create" to create the Key and Secret, and copy paste the Key and the Secret into Aer.
8. Please note: if you do not see a Secret in step 7, and you are using Chrome, please try this process again from the start with Edge or Firefox (not Safari or Brave). You will have to start from step 4, creating a new set of Key and Secret, to see the information.
